Manawatu Regional Development Council

History

The Regional Development Council was a free and voluntary, joint regional body, set up in 1967, comprising of the territorial Local Authorities. Its purpose was focussed on the wellbeing and advancement of the region. The Council was wound up in 1981 in favour of a Manawatu United Council.
