Descriptive Note
Plans of a possible hotel development on the old railway land in the central city area (land bounded by Pitt, Main, Cook and Church Streets). This proposal was investigated by planning staff during the Central Area Study of 1981. See file 78/23 in subseries 1/5/5. Some of the drawings in this series originated in the City Engineer’s Department prior to the creation of the City Planner’s Department. The series INCLUDES drawings produced by Council staff and outside consultants (engineers, surveyors and architects.)
