Descriptive Note
Vouchers recording payments for the purchase of electric power. Each voucher contains particulars of the goods or services received (usually accompanied by an invoice), the name of the account debited, and a receipt from the creditor. These vouchers were retained by Mr A.M.P (Peter) Hall, City Treasurer 1944-1954 and Town Clerk 1954-1974, because of the dispute with the power board over the cost of bulk supply.
