Folders (containing loose papers) arranged in a numerical sequence. This series was created by the Mayor’s Secretary in 1986 (following the election of Mayor Registered files. Rieger), but some files contain papers received or created by Mayor Elwood. This series was created in 1969 with the appointment of the first Secretary to the Mayor (Mrs Dorothy Clark). Prior to 1969 the Mayors Correspondence was typed to the Town Clerks Department and filed in the record systems Series 1/5/2, 1/5/3, 1/5/4, 1/5/5 and 1/5/7.
