Clippings on Gas matters kept by Mr. M.J. Kennedy, Secretary and Manager of P.N. Gas Company Limited. The company operated the gasworks in Main Street from about 1891 until 1915. The assets of the company were purchased by the Borough Council in 1915 and became the Council’s Gas Department.
