Quilt presented to the people of NZ in 1989 in support of New Zealand's nuclear-free legislation.
Quilted by group of women to make a statement for peace. Depicts New Zealand's North and South Islands, showing natural flora and fauna.
On long term loan to the Palmerston North City Council from the National Library of New Zealand, Te Puna Mātauranga o Aotearoa, in recognition of its sister-city relationship with Missoula. Before gifting the quilt made a nationwide tour of New Zealand 1991 - 1993.
