Clutha River. 200ft span hinges, west abutment, piers, handrail, James E Mckenzie, E Fletcher Roberts, Engineers, Contract No 650, drawing No 6, Signed Vincent C C, J E Mckenzies, County Engineer. Menzies was engineer of Kairanga County County Council during the early 1930’s and assisted J.R Hughes City Engineer to design the second Fitzherbert Bridge. This plan was probably supplied by him for design purposes.
