Scale: 5 chains to 1 inch. One folded map, consisting of six sheets,. Mounted on linen, with gaps between sheets. No date.
This appears to be the earliest cadastral map prepared by Council staff. It may have been drawn by R I Hands, Senior Engineering Assistant, for use as a base map for the first Town Planning Scheme (c1946-1953). Examples of this base can be found among the planning maps in subseries 7/3/1. The map shows the boundaries of sections, but does not list their legal descriptions (DP and lot numbers).
