Ceremonial letter mailed to Prime Minister Sir J G Ward, KCMG, on the opening of the New Post Office in Palmerston North on 5th February 1906. Sent on behalf of the Mayor of Palmerston North, Maurice Cohen.
Letter is handcrafted with ornate bordering and all text is in handwritten calligraphy.
Letter was sent in hand-crafted envelope (PNCC 1/39/6, Folder 2, Item 1).
